A large gaggle of elk cross the road near the entrance to the beach at Seaside, OR. The adults seem to form a wall that all the babies then walk through. So cool.

Raccoon Buds
These three have been owning our yard this week. I was gonna make a Hamburglar joke, but I can't do that with every raccoon video, can I?

Tadpole-Frog-Mania
Every year thousands of tadpoles are born in our pond. It's quite amazing. The result is tiny, thumb-sized frogs all over the place in late summer. But in all the years of seeing them, there was never another day like this one when they all emerged from the pond in unison! Make some room!

Turtle Catching Some Rays
In the Good Ol' Days (meaning pre-pandemic), we had a trip with lots of great snorkeling in Hawaii. We saw lots of turtles, but I particularly love this video because of watching the light bounce around and make art and geometry at the same time.

Bobcat Rarity
Despite having literally hundreds of great videos of bobcats captured by our trail cameras, we almost never see them ourselves. They are stealthy and shy. This video represents one of the few times we ever got to see one with our own eyeballs - let alone have her sit for a while so I could get a good video!

Fuzzy Owl
This particularly fuzzy and tall owl is trying to figure out WTF I am doing staring at her.

Maui Tidepool Time-Lapse
This is what happens when you have a few minutes and a GoPro on the rocky shores of Maui (from pre-pandemic). So many cool fish.

Eel in Maui
Continuing with the theme of vacation videos. This is an eel in a very shallow tidal pool on Maui - I wanted to pet her, but I wanted my hand intact to be able to play guitar even more. (And I wouldn't want to bother or scare her)
Not From Our Yard
Since the pandemic has me missing travel so much, I've decided to branch out on the blog and include some of my favorite travel videos I've shot in the past couple of years. This is from the Oregon Coast - a gang of elk walks up a residential street... the kids are so adorable.
